Principal Welcome Letter 2022-23

Greetings UCCS Families!

​

We hope you are having a wonderful summer and enjoying time with family and friends. We miss all the students and are excited to see everyone on the first day of school, which is Wednesday, September 7, 2022.

 

Staff is working hard in preparation for the new school year and we are excited for all of the learning possibilities! Again, Urban Choice is providing the supplies students will need in the classroom so all they will need is a bookbag! Here as some important updates and information to share with you:

  • We have welcomed some new staff members to the Urban Choice Charter School family. Please check out the grade-level welcome letters that will be going home the first week of school to learn more about our newest team members.

  • There has been a deep cleaning of the building so that our students will have a welcoming and refreshing learning environment.

  • Lasting Memories photography will be here to capture student school photos this year. Information about ordering will be sent home with students the first week of school. School pictures dates are as follows:

    • September 20 – Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2

    • September 21 – Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5

    • September 22 – Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8

  • A reminder that our start time is earlier this year. Student arrival time is 9:00am and our instructional day ends at 4:20pm. Student dismissal will begin each day at 4:20pm. Please be mindful that all students are expected to attend school until 4:20pm each day. If there is a need for your student to leave early, please make sure you are contacting our Main Office ahead of time.
